ExplorACES is designed so that you can arrive when you want, see and do what you want, and move at a pace that is comfortable for you.

Need directions?

If you're coming in from I-74, take the Lincoln Avenue exit (southbound) to get to the Assembly Hall parking lot and ExplorACES shuttle:

• Continue south on Lincoln Avenue, past University Avenue, Springfield Avenue and Green Street.
• Get into the right lane when you can. Continue beyond Green Street about a mile, and turn right (heading west) onto Florida Avenue.
• Continue west on Florida Avenue past Maryland Drive, the cemetery, Fourth Street and First Street.
• Turn left (south) onto Oak Street, the next intersection after First Street.
• Turn left into Lot E-14.
• Catch the shuttle bus at the shelter in the south half of the lot. Shuttles run every 15 minutes or so.

If you're arriving by car:

Plenty of free parking, with free shuttle service to both ExplorACES and Engineering Open House, is available on both Friday and Saturday in Lot E-14, just west of the Assembly Hall (corner of First Street and St. Mary's Road in Champaign).

On Saturday only, ExplorACES visitors may park in the deck located at the corner of Gregory Drive and Dorner Drive in Urbana. (On Friday, parking in the deck is by faculty/staff permit only.)

If you're bringing a large group to campus:

Capacity on the shuttle buses is limited, so you may wish to ask your bus driver to drop your group off at the corner of Sixth Street and Lorado Taft Drive in Champaign about one block due west of the ExplorACES Welcome Tent.

If you want to drop off your group and then park...

• Head south on Lincoln Avenue from I-74, past University Avenue, Springfield Avenue and Green Street.
• Get into the right lane when you can. Continue beyond Green Street about a mile, and turn right (heading west) onto Florida Avenue.
• Continue on Florida Avenue, past Maryland Drive and the cemetery. Get into the right lane when you can.
• Turn right (north), onto Fourth Street just before you get to Memorial Stadium.
• Turn right (east) at your first opportunity, onto Pennsylvania Avenue.
• Turn left (north) at your first opportunity, onto Sixth Street.
• Go past Peabody Drive, to Lorado Taft Drive.
• To get to the parking lot, continue north on Sixth Street to Gregory Drive.
• Turn left (west) onto Gregory. Turn left (south) onto First Street.
• Just past Kirby Avenue, turn left into Lot E-14.
