In this course, you will study the unique risks to production agriculture. You will learn how farmers and agribusiness firms make decisions to mitigate these risks.

As a class, we will:

  • Examine crop production cycles
  • Analyze financial risks in agriculture
  • Discuss concerns surrounding agricultural land
  • Explore how farmers, producers, and others in production agriculture mitigate risks

This for-credit course includes high-engagement features like weekly live sessions, assessments, group projects, office hours, and exams. It builds on the following foundational content developed by ACES and hosted on Coursera. Completion of the following MOOCs (Massive Open Online Course) is required to earn credit; MOOC completion alone is not credit-bearing.
