History of International Involvement
The College of ACES has a distinguished history of involvement around the world. With significant support from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) starting in the early 1960s, the college embarked on major institution-building projects in Asia, Africa, and South America. This legacy of applying expertise in emerging institutions of research and higher education while also hosting many foreign scientists, teachers, and students, many of whom became leaders in their home countries, laid a foundation for the college’s continued international preeminence.
