Embedded counselors are clinical counselors from the campus Counseling Center. They are dedicated to a specific unit so that they thoroughly understand its unique demands, challenges, and culture.

Embedded counselors will help you explore personal, interpersonal, academic, and professional concerns that contribute to your success. They work closely with faculty and staff to understand your student experience and identify opportunities for you to grow and thrive.

Just as at the Counseling Center, embedded counseling services are always confidential.

"I am passionate about helping students develop their whole selves and am honored to support them throughout their university experience."

To schedule an appointment, send me an email at mlayng@illinois.edu. I am usually able to schedule same-week appointments.
