"Agriculture unites us all" was the resounding message as representatives from University of Illinois Extension, the College of Agricultural, Consumer and Environmental Sciences, and nearly 50 diverse agriculture organizations converged on the state Capitol for the 55th annual Illinois Agriculture Legislative Day.

Professor Elizabeth “Lisa” Ainsworth was formally honored as the Charles Adlai Ewing Endowed Chair in Crop Physiology in the Department of Crop Sciences at an investiture ceremony held at the College of Agricultural, Consumer and Environmental Sciences, University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, on March 27, 2025.

Each year, the College of Agricultural, Consumer and Environmental Sciences at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign has the honor of celebrating the achievements of several exceptional ACES alumni. Alumni Award recipients are recognized in the categories of Outstanding Young Alumni, Career Achievement, Award of Merit, and ACES Family Spirit. The 2025 winners will be honored during the ACES Alumni Awards Gala on April 14 at the Pear Tree Estate.

Yesterday, U.S. Representative Nikki Budzinski (IL-13) and the ITI Institute joined top researchers and policymakers at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign to see how AI is reshaping agriculture to address key challenges in food security, sustainability, and workforce development.

The Division of Nutritional Sciences (DNS), housed within the College of Agricultural, Consumer and Environmental Sciences at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, has established the “Sharon M. Donovan Pediatric Nutrition Seminar Fund.” With the inaugural seminar scheduled for the spring of 2026, this annual seminar will serve as a platform for bringing world-renowned experts in pediatric nutrition to campus.

The College of Agricultural, Consumer, and Environmental Sciences (ACES) at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign invites alumni, students, faculty, staff, and friends to the annual Celebrate Food and Ag Day tailgate on Saturday, Oct. 12, 2024, which will be held from noon to 2 p.m. prior to the 2:30 p.m. kickoff at the Illinois vs. Purdue football game. 

Today, MicroMGx celebrates the opening of its new research facility at the University of Illinois Research Park, part of the Illinois Fermentation and Agriculture Biomanufacturing (iFAB) Tech Hub, which is a testament to rapid advancements and increasing investment to realize agricultural innovations through precision fermentation. 

The Illinois farming community is invited to hear about the latest research-based tools and practices this summer at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign during the annual Agronomy Days series, hosted by the College of Agricultural, Consumer and Environmental Sciences (ACES), the Department of Crop Sciences, and Illinois Extension.

The College of Agricultural, Consumer and Environmental Sciences at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign will take part in the 200th-anniversary celebration of Funk Farms, one of the oldest and most historically significant farms in the Midwest. The free event — featuring food, local venders, and live music — will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 22, at Funk Farms, 5959 N 1100 East Road, Shirley, Illinois.
