URBANA, Ill. - The University of Illinois College of Agricultural, Consumer and Environmental Sciences invites the public to attend the 2019 Celebrate Food & Agriculture Day on Saturday, Sept. 14, from 8 to 11 a.m. This year’s event will be held in a new location at the renovated Stock Pavilion.

“We’re excited to welcome Illinois supporters in the food, agriculture, and allied industries to campus to celebrate with us prior to cheering on the Fighting Illini football team against Eastern Michigan,” says Kim Kidwell, dean of the College of ACES.

During the event, the college will also reveal custom terra cotta animal head medallions that have returned to their Stock Pavilion home. Renovated classrooms will also be open for tours.

The Sustainable Student Farm (SSF) will bring their farm stand to the event. Located on campus, the SSF provides students with the opportunity to learn small-scale vegetable production. The farm provides food to the campus dining halls, as well as hosts a weekly farm stand to sell fresh produce to the campus community.

Celebration passes (which includes buffet) are available at go.aces.illinois.edu/CFAg. Football game tickets are available exclusively through the Athletic Ticket Office.

The Stock Pavilion is located at 1402 W. Pennsylvania Ave., Urbana.
