Be sure to visit the College of Agricultural, Consumer and Environmental Sciences tent, 34W, at Farm Progress Show 2019 in Decatur, Aug. 27-29.

The College of ACES tent, located south of the main entrance on West Progress Avenue, will feature several new exhibits from over 15 units and University of Illinois Extension at this year’s show.

Don’t miss the updated, daily program of events on the ACES stage, including a daily show with Orion Samuelson at 10 a.m., as well as live market reports and analysis with Todd Gleason. New this year, farmdoc faculty and Illinois Farm Business Farm Management (FBFM) specialists will present on agricultural marketing, finance, management, policy, and other issues.

ACES tent exhibit and activity highlights include:

  • FRESH (field robotics engineering and sciences hub) will demonstrate agricultural robots and drones.
  • farmdoc faculty will be on hand to answer questions on farm management, finance, and policy issues.
  • U of I Extension commercial agriculture and small farms educators will demonstrate rainfall simulators, watershed models, cover crop species identification, prevent plant, and drowned out field area management.
  • Farm Business Farm Management Association will be on hand to answer questions and share information.
  • ACES academic programs office representatives will be on hand to meet with parents and prospective students.
  • Representatives from the ACES Departments of Food Science and Human Nutrition, Crop Sciences, Animal Sciences, Agricultural and Biological Engineering, Agricultural and Consumer Economics, Natural Resources and Environmental Sciences, the Integrated Bioprocessing Research Laboratory, and the Center for Digital Agriculture will be present to discuss the latest trends in their respective fields.
  • ACES Alumni Association board members and staff, as well as Office of Advancement staff, will be on hand to meet with alumni and friends of ACES.
