ACES Undeclared
ACES Undeclared students are on a unique path to discovery in the College of ACES! During the College of ACES session, they will get to choose which department they want to spend their time with and participate in their programming. See the options below to determine which path you will explore.
Department of Agricultural and Biological Engineering (10:00am-12pm)
- Agricultural and Biological Engineering (ABE), Engineering Technology and Management for Agricultural Systems (ETMAS)
Admitted students and their guests can join advisors, students, and faculty of the ABE@Illinois department for the morning. Meet other admitted students. Hear the exciting experiences of your soon-to-be-peers. Sit in our classrooms. Challenge your guests to a design competition. Tour our research labs where important work on global challenges is being done. Spend a Saturday morning on campus to see why you should choose ABE & ETMAS!

Today is about more than confirming where you’ll go to college—it’s about discovering who you can become and how your interests in leadership, communication, or education can make an impact by working with people in companies, communities, and classrooms. Department of Animal Sciences (10:00am-12:00pm)

Connect with Animal Sciences during the campus Admitted Student Illini Fest! We will start with a short presentation on our courses and curriculum. Then, you can hear firsthand experiences from our student panel. Get all your questions answered in a dedicated Q&A session. Animal Sciences advisors will be available for individual student meetings, as well.

Join the Department of Crop Sciences to meet our Department Head, Student Ambassadors, faculty, and staff. You’ll gain an overview of our curriculum, student outcomes, and have the opportunity to ask questions during a Q&A session.
Department of Food Science and Human Nutrition (10:00am-12:00pm)

Explore dietetics, nutrition, hospitality management, and food science at the University of Illinois. In a small group setting, you’ll get a firsthand look at student life in our department. Department of Human Development and Family Studies (HDFS) (10:00am-12:00pm)
Join us for a morning all about HDFS! This is an opportunity for you and your loved ones to come to campus, meet current students, advisors, and faculty members in HDFS. It’s your chance to learn what it’s like to be at the University of Illinois and the College of ACES. While you are here, you’ll learn about: careers for HDFS students, opportunities for internships and research, and even what it’s like to live in a UIUC dorm. If you have questions, we have answers. Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Sciences (NRES) (10:00am-12:00pm)
We’re excited to meet you! At this event you’ll explore how your dreams of sustainable action meet hands-on experience in NRES. Come meet professors, alumni, current students, and our academic advising staff – and ask them your questions. You’ll learn about classes, research, internships, careers, and the many ways you too can get involved to create a more sustainable future for everyone.

Campus will be busy on this date, and no specific parking is set aside for events. Possible metered parking can be found in the following locations:
- Pennsylvania Ave
- FUNK ACES Library circle drive
- Dorner Dr.
- Peabody Dr.
*Most meters are free on weekend-days, but check the signs, or Mobile Meter App to be sure
The following lots may also available to park in during the time of our event as the permit restrictions are only enforced Monday-Friday: F-14, F-4, F-29 (Parking garage-handicap accessible), F-28, F-6
