The College of Agricultural, Consumer and Environmental Sciences (ACES) honored exceptional faculty, staff, and graduate students at the 2023 Paul A. Funk Recognition Awards banquet on Sept. 18 at Pear Tree Estate. Below is a list of award recipients who were recognized by ACES dean Germán Bollero during the ceremony. 

Irish agricultural journalist and media researcher Claire Mc Cormack has been named the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign’s first Visiting Global Agricultural Journalist.

URBANA, Ill. — For decades, International Agronomy Day at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign has hosted international groups looking to learn more about the latest innovative technologies, research, and practices in sustainable agriculture. This year, the College of Agricultural, Consumer, and Environmental Sciences (ACES) has organized its Aug. 28 event ahead of the Farm Progress Show in Decatur, which kicks off Aug. 29.

URBANA, Ill. — As summer 2023 marches on, so do the events of Agronomy Days at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, a season-long series providing practical, research-based information that can improve yield, input management, and sustainability on the farm. 

URBANA, Ill. —  Bring your favorite kiddos (ages 8-13) to the campus of the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign for ACES Family Academies, a two-day interactive and educational event held July 12-14, 2023, that gives families a glimpse into being part of the College of Agricultural, Consumer and Environmental Sciences (ACES).

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. — College-bound sophomores, juniors, and seniors at Illinois high schools and new graduates who are on the autism spectrum and interested in attending the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign are encouraged to apply for an upcoming virtual summer camp.
